We all know the underlying cause of the ex deputies and the former sheriff’s arrests and plea deals. Money. On the former Sheriff’s part I would venture it was greed. After all the Sheriff made around 3 ½ times (with a car assigned to him) what the lowest deputy made. I didn’t do the math. [...]

Tuesday saw the most recent ex-deputy sentenced to 6 months in federal prison. He pled guilty of stealing money from a federal forfeiture fund. He was also fined $2000.00 and sentenced to 2 years supervised probabtion upon his release. This was the maximum the law allowed for the crime he admitted to.
